Check-in is from 3pm onwards; check-out by 11am. We have implemented contactless check-in and live onsite, however we don’t maintain a traditional office. The day before your arrival you’ll receive an email and text with your room number and door code; you can arrive anytime after 3pm and let yourself in! Your welcome message will also include our cell phone number so you can reach us anytime if you need assistance.
Pets are welcome in all our rooms. There is no pet fee, however we reserve the right to assess an extra cleaning charge of $25 if your pet causes excessive dirt or damage in the room. Please don’t leave your pet alone in the room. For a great doggie daycare option we recommend the Sit and Stay Inn in Stockton Springs (10 minutes away).
Cancellations are accepted until 2 days before your stay. As a small, seasonal property cancellations affect us greatly and we will charge the full amount of your booking for any cancellations (or no-shows) made within 48 hours of your booking date (for example, a booking the night of July 15 can be cancelled without penalty until 3pm on July 13; after that time the full amount will be charged to your credit card). Please note that any cancellations must be made through your original booking partner.
A continental breakfast is offered from 7am – 9am in our breakfast room. This includes freshly brewed, locally roasted coffee; a selection of homemade baked goods; yogurt and cold cereals. The breakfast room is accessible to guests from 6am – 9pm; coffee, tea, water and ice are available during those hours. There is also a selection of board games and books that guests are welcome to borrow. All rooms have a small fridge and microwave.
Daily housekeeping is available on request but not provided automatically. We are both short-staffed and conscious of the environmental toll of washing towels and linens more often than needed. There is a laundromat across the street for guests’ personal washing.
There is no smoking allowed in the motel rooms. For the comfort of other guests, we request that you not smoke on the shared porch areas but instead use the area around the firepit for your smoke break.
Our motel was built in 1951 and as an older property it has its fair share of quirks. Most people enjoy the knotty-pine paneling, original windows, classic front porch and eclectic furnishings…however, if you’re looking for the consistency of a chain motel or the polish of a five-star hotel, we’re probably not the right place for you. We love our little spot of coastal Maine and enjoy sharing it with those who appreciate its unique charms.
